Streets of Rage 4 – Can’t Believe I’m Having So Much Fun
You heard that right! Streets of Rage 4 just hit Xbox Game Pass and it’s been an amazing game to play so far. When I first heard this game was about to be released, I was already super excited. I immediately thought of the original Streets of Rage and everything that was going on with my life at that time.
1991. I was a junior in high school, sitting on the bench for our varsity basketball team and getting in trouble for sneaking out of the house to be with my girlfriend. Fun times. Back then, we had Gameboys, the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. Video games were like movies too. You had to play them in the arcades first and wait for a release date on your home console. Those were the days. The thrills. Cheesy graphics and hanging out with friends.
Fast forward to 2020. The graphics are so much better. The games are more fun, more involved and sometimes way too complicated. Admittedly, I’m getting older too. It’s hard to keep up with these kids nowadays. I do my best to hang in a game of Battlefield or Call of Duty but times have changed. I went from being at the top of the food chain to dreaming of the day I can choke and strangle some of these younger generation gamers (just kidding – kinda).
And just like that…
I’m Streaming Streets of Rage 4 on Facebook Gaming
All the memories are coming back. They’ve made a lot of improvements since the original version but it’s still a side scroller, still super cheesy and still lots of fun. I thought it would be a little easier to beat this time around but Sega did a really good just of making it a challenging experience for just about anyone.
I can’t get past level 3 right now…
If I had one complaint, it would be that the graphics seem a little dark. It’s the only game that I’m streaming online that isn’t as bright as I would hope. Maybe I just need to make a few adjustments. Other than that though, Streets of Rage 4 is a must have game and I highly recommend it for both the older and newer generations.
Give a try. You might just like it too!
